Future Plan and Perspectives of PARGATI
The society envisions the development of villages on par with urban areas while preserving their essential rural character, aiming to create a just society free from inequalities and abundant with opportunities. To achieve this, our immediate focus lies on village Patauda, where we aim to establish a model village pilot project. Subsequently, we plan to adopt a cluster village approach, with Patauda serving as the central hub within a 10 km radius, offering facilities such as a model school, sports complex, library, grain market, and more to neighbouring villages.
Our plans for the development of Patauda and surrounding areas include:
- ● Increasing Farmers' Income and Livelihood Opportunities: This involves establishing permanent grain, vegetable, and fruit markets in rural areas, promoting horticulture and allied activities, and encouraging cluster-based food processing industries. We also aim to organise Farmers Producers Organizations to enhance productivity, value-added activities, and exports.
- ● Creating a Self-Sufficient Rural Economy: By leveraging the potential of agriculture and handicrafts, we seek to intensify the rural economy and livelihood. Through engagement with rural communities and Self-Help Groups (SHGs), we aim to promote self-sufficiency, aligning rural products and production with global competitiveness to support initiatives like government startup and stand-up.
- ● Waste Management: We prioritise solid and liquid waste management, including awareness campaigns on waste segregation, establishing green waste composting plants, and managing liquid waste effectively. We are also in discussions with the government to address liquid waste management issues.
- ● Infrastructure Development: Initiatives include establishing a block-level stadium in Patauda, contributing to the development plan of Patauda-Luhari villages, and reviving cultural programs like Ramleela and Ragni to preserve and promote local traditions.
- ● Beautification and Security Measures: : We plan to beautify villages through sanitation, cleanliness drives, and plantation initiatives. Additionally, we aim to enhance security by installing CCTV cameras in streets to protect both locals and visitors.
- ● Community Services: We intend to renovate ponds, establish free competitive exam and vocational training centres for students, and provide affordable education along with educational funds for economically disadvantaged but talented students.
Through these comprehensive efforts, we aspire to uplift rural areas, empower communities, and create sustainable, inclusive development models for the future.
